hello,

Im on a macbook running 10.6.8 and things were pretty normal until some pages would suddenly stop loading. At first I thought facebook was down but this just wasnt the case. no google search or google maps either. sometimes for hours. reboot would not always help. occasionally I would get it loaded half way but thats it. even when it loads, it could get awfully slow. I tried chrome but it would only load occasionally. any ideas?

thanks in advance

eL

Are you at home? At work? Or are you jumping around on different networks?

The fact that you get partial loading tends to make me think that a component in your network may be bogged down. If you're at home, try restarting your router or cable modem or both.

If you're at work, it may be that your sysadmin/IT guy closed down access to certain webpages. Facebook is commonly shutdown, but it is kind of weird to halt access to Google.
