I agree, especially for power users. That said, Google apps work well enough for most.

The Chromebook is, in most cases, a terrible work laptop. However, it's a great browsing/emailing laptop. Not as good as an Air, but very close for those things.

I'd probably take a used iPad 2 and a keyboard over it
