Can't uninstall Chrome and/or Canary
I am running OS X 10.8.2 and sometime back, added Google Canary in addition to standard Chrome. What prompted this was a printing/scaling issue with FedEx shipping labels - I posted to the Chrome support group and was advised to try Canary as it incorporated fixes. As Canary worked just fine, I continued using it until about a week ago, so I uninstalled it (by dragging the icon to the Trash). I even uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it for good measure...
In Applications, the standard Chrome icon appears. Clicking it launches standard Chrome. If Chrome is running and I click the icon in Applications a 2nd time, Canary launches ! In Safari, under "Default web browser", both Chrome and Canary show up. Chrome is default, by the way. If Chrome is running and I click a hyperlink in an email, for instance, Canary launches ! Help ! How do I totally remove ALL traces of Canary ? Thanks |
