I'm in the process of comparing some different reference managers, and one of the tests I'm trying to do is how well they do full text searches of my research library. So, I did the same key word search of full collections (the exact same pdfs) using Bookends, Papers and Finder.

- in Bookends, I got 30 hits using the spotlight search
- however, when I used the Finder to search the Bookends attachment folder, I got 268 returns
- in Papers, I got 212 hits using the spotlight search

So, I'm confused :confused: What's up with this?

It sounds like those two apps have more restrictive search criteria than Finder/Spotlight.
