howwhere can i switch service of a used iphone4?

I just recently bought an iphone 4 from a friend who had sprint. I would like to switch service over to verizon or cricket ( as I have less than perfect credit for contracts) Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, a general idea of cost....please?! Thank you!!
