Contacts Bug

Ok so my mom had an iPhone 4S and then switched to a Samsung Galaxy S2 (shocker..) but when I go to "New Message" and type her name, it shows her number with iMessage. Last time I checked the S2 doesnt have iMessage. How can i fix this bug.

Send her a message.
It will switch over to SMS

The phone is just going by the last message sent to her mobile number.
It is not a bug.

I think it is. It's still saying iMessage and it INSISTS her number is still an iPhone. It still has FaceTime and it never sends SMS as default just iMessage

Go to Apple.com and using her Apple ID, sign her out of her account.

Her Apple ID is still associated with iMessage.

Go here:

https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do

and unregister her old 4S. That'll turn off iMessage.

Unregistering the device and signing out of the Apple ID account are 2 separate things. Did you do both?

First, did you use Settings in the old iPhone to physically turn OFF iMessage and Facetime?

In the iTunes menu bar, go to Store > View my Apple ID > Manage devices and remove her iPhone as well. Forgot to mention this.
