Honestly speaking - no it is not worse to upgrade from ipad3, but I did just because I sold my ipad3 pretty well. I compared it face to face and difference is very minimal, that is including performance. Only thing I noticed is bit faster wifi and better front camera. Screen is warmer in colors a bit, I don't like it much since I do lot of photography and I could notice it immediately. Anyway, too late since I got it already and it is beast of tablets for sure

Yes it was
I sold my 3 a few weeks ago and got the mini on launch day.
After spending a little over a week with it i sent it back and got the 4. Cost was only a 100 bucks to get 4 with what I got for my 3 and could not be Happier. I loved my 3,but wanted to try the mini-could not take the non retina screen- It just bothered my senior eyes too much ,getting headaches. The 4 is faster, smoother, and battery life is better. Also less heat buildup than my 3 I guess I am set for 6 months until the 5 comes out-lol I guess if you can afford it and want the latest the 4 is an upgrade I am happy I got it |

2a) Nothing I have iPads 3 & 4. The 4 doesn't live up to the hype. 3a) No it's not in real world use. The speed difference between the two only shows up under certain conditions & it's far from twice as fast. Stick with your iPad 3 and save lots of money. The 4 isn't that much of an upgrade.
