Possible to change location of trash folder?
I'm on a 2011 iMac. I added an external 128gb ssd and moved apps and home folder there but left documents, etc on the internal hdd. Problem is I lose space on the ssd every time the trash gets full. Was wondering if there is a way to move the trash folder from the ssd to the internal hdd.

Theoretically, yes. Logically, no.
When the Mac (or Windows or Linux) has files moved to the Trash, the file location is changed to the Trash folder. If this folder is on a different drive, the OS would have to copy the file from one drive to the other, then delete the original. If you wanted to restore the file from the Trash, the reverse would be true. Mac OS X's flat logical file system should be able to do this, likely using the "ln" (link) Terminal commands, but the OS might really get confused. If you want to give it a try, research the "ln" command, the folders Mac OS X use as Trash on your particular drives, and see if that works.
