My dad's 3GS runs a little sluggish. Is iOS6 going to make it any slower? Maps was a big issue for him holding off, but is it worth upgrading on a 3GS in any case?
Especially since 6.0.2 isn't out for 3GS.I would stay with 5.1.1. You'll see little, if any improvement with 6.0.2.

The absence of a YouTube app shouldn't matter. There's a much better one out there called jasmine. It's a gorgeous, ad free app.

Well, after a few days with iOS 6 on my 3GS, I can report that I should have left it on 5.1.1. I use the Music app most of the time, and it's frustratingly slow and laggy. The rest isn't that bad, but geez, I hate how difficult it is to navigate my music now.
Guess it's all part of the planned obsolescence scheme.
Yeah I realised it's quite laggy when scrolling through the long list. Not to mention the UI looks so ugly compared to that of iOS 5.
from my experience, it's so so so much faster. 5.1.1 ran like crap for me, but iOS6 is nearly lag free! Granted, it's not as good as iOS3, but there's a ton of new features that make it 100% worth it!My dad's 3GS runs a little sluggish. Is iOS6 going to make it any slower?
