I know there is software that will let you remotely log into a mac, though is there software that will let me log into a remote mac and copy a file from it?
Thanks. |

add this to the top line: vnc://10.0.1.203:5900 (substitute with your intermal IP) Hit the + sign to save it for future use. Hit "Connect". (This is for a Mac to Mac.) Find the file you want on the remote Mac and click and drag it to your desktop (or anywhere on your system).

Unless you know the computer the OP wants to access on his home network's IP address, you are wrong.
OP, you would want to substitute the computer you wish to connect to's IP address for 10.0.1.203 in the above posters recommendation. The above poster's solution would only work on your local network. I recommend TeamViewer if you need to access a truly remote (on a different network, access via the internet) computer. |

Thanks for the replies. Are there security issues with keeping this software running on my Macs so i can remotely access them? What if anything should i do to minimize the chances of someone hacking into my Macs via this software?
