How to create toolbar icons like Finder

Does anyone know how to create gradient toolbar buttons like in Finder? Here's what I mean:

How can I create something like this? Is it a built in Cocoa feature or do I need to create a custom view?

edit: I found that Rounded Texture Button seems to be the same

Have a look at the Human Interface Guidelines in xCode's documentation window.

You can use an NSToolbar and add buttons to it.

What have you tried? The post just before yours from over a year prior looks pretty good to me.
