what about apples 14 day return policy, can i get it exchanged no questions asked since its only been a week?

I think from the responses you have received, you know where I am going. Man up and roll with the punches. You dropped it, your problem. But I bet if you sell it, you will probably get almost or more of your money back from the sale. Then use that to buy a new one. BE HONEST!!! You will feel better in the end.

this is what i would do. I dont consider it theft as Apple gets a phone back they will refurb anyway. Lighten up people.

Too bad they'll see that the phone has been damaged and could have caused the problems he's trying make an excuse for.

yes and the refurb process costs money as well. parts and labor and testing for bugs, broken internals, software, etc.
