Using Elements as an External Editor in Aperture

I use Aperture 3 and bought Elements 11 to use as an external editor. I loaded Elements onto to my MacBookPro Retina Display and added it as an external editor in Aperture.

However, when I open an image in Aperture and click on Edit Using Elements 11 the editor opens, but the image doesn't open.

According to Help, I followed the right process.

I can open the file in Elements directly, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to work?
