What about areas where there isn't lte? Are they covered by 3G? I've found my problems with tmobile aren't the lack of lte in Iowa because I regularly get 12 down on hspa+. I'm just annoyed that one block from my apartment in Des Moines I drop to edge and whenever I leave the metro areas all I get is edge. Was curious if att has the same edge problem.

Its mostly 3G/4G now outside of the metro. I rarely get EDGE, only in extreme cases when I am in the middle of no-where.

Another Iowa sighting. I was in Ames yesterday, at least along the Duff Ave corridor, and they have LTE there as well. Only 4G between Ames and Ankeny on I-35 though.

Just went with GoPhone and two days in I love it. Way better than T-Mobile around this area. Wanted to let you guys know (not sure if it was mentioned before) I live on Hubbell Ave in Des Moines near Altoona and my phone pulls almost full LTE signal up until probably exit 8A or so on 235-W. The speedtest I've done aren't great by any means (about 15 down 7 or 8 up on average) but I thought I'd mention that it has been really strong around that area.

Now I hope we can keep these numbers up. The last thing we need is to have LTE be marred by the problems 3G experienced, like poor availability.

I do understand that was from the difference in tower locations/placements compared to 2G to 3G migration in GSM/UMTS systems. However, it was plagued by speed and reliability issues in some areas, even when the network was "running".

Canby, Oregon

As of early last week I have LTE in my hometown of Canby, Oregon. I don't see any information, anywhere about it being added though.

I would like to mention that I have been getting LTE signal in downtown Iowa City since October 2nd. I have a screenshot of the speedtest results from that day. Today it seems they expanded the range up to North Dodge street near Interstate 80 or about 3 miles due Northeast of downtown. The signal also reaches into Coralville but I'm not sure to what extent. I don't get the signal in Coral Ridge Mall. I'm using an HTC One by the way and on average I get 25 mbps down and 10 up.

AT&T must be upgrading to LTE in my city, Sioux Falls. Their web site still does not show LTE for my city, but am getting 2 bars of LTE on my rMini at home. It is still slower than 4G. 5-7 Mbs download on LTE vs 10 Mbs on 4G which gets full bars. Still faster than what I get on Verizon LTE at home on my 5s.
