Hi there,

I smashed my iPad (3rd gen) and found out that I actually have AppleCare+ on it. Can I get it serviced and in case I get a replacement would I get a 3rd. gen or the most recent equivalent? The reason why I'm asking is because I have some cables and a dock that otherwise wouldn't work with the newest revision.

Thx for your answers,

WS

AppleCare does not cover accidental damage so they will not repair or replace it....

Hopefully it is covered by insurance.....

Sorry - I just noticed the +

It will be up to Apple whether they cover it or not, what they charge you and what they replace it with. Who knows what "incidents of accidental damage due to handling" means ?

Best to phone them and ask ?
