I was hoping to try out your game Julien but your website appears to be down at the moment :(

Do you have an alternative download mirror?

Hey Bertrude, i just went on the website and verified the download and everything seems to work.

But yeah, i host the game on a cheap server so the website might turn down sometimes.

Hi Julien. I managed to download your game and it looks really nice.

I'm having problems with the input settings though as I'm trying to configure it for my 360 wired pad. It recognizes the pad but I can't work out which option is for accelerate and brake so I can assign them to the triggers.

There are quite a few options:

Horizontal (+)
Horizontal (-)
Vertical (+)
Vertical (-)
Fire1
Fire2
Fire3
Jump

The 9th option "Horizontal" seems to control the steering but leaves the accelerate and brake to the keyboard up and down arrows.

Do you have any suggestions?

Glad that it worked for you!

Ok, as i can see, the controls looks to be a huge mess!
There are too much inputs that are useless here.
And the names are all very confusing.

I am sorry but i have no idea at the moment.

All i can say i will do my best to improve the gamepad settings for the next Build.

The next build should be available in few days with a lot of amelioration.
If you can wait until the next build its best i think.

In the meantime, you can try to change the values randomly...

Any of you tried the new version ?
It correct a lot of problems and is almost better in every way.

@Bertrude

Did you tried the new version ?
Your Xbox360 Gamepad should be completely supported now!
My partner who help me develop the game use the same Gamepad, and now the configuration work perfectly for him.

The + and the - should be the same button.
For example, the Accelerate + and Accelerate - should be the same button.
It correspond to Accelerate push and Accelerate release.

Waiting for your feedback guys.
Best Regards.

Hi Julien,

I tried the new version but could not get the accelerator or brake to assign to the analogue triggers. The pre-game configuration screen only allows me to map them to digital buttons on the controller such as the face buttons or the bumpers but not the triggers. This is a shame as I feel that triggers offer the best way to simulate the movement and feel of foot pedals on a controller (never looked back since the Dreamcast :D ).

Maybe it's just a problem for me, I don't know. Can your partner successfully use the analogue triggers? I had to use the face buttons but I don't think it gives you that same 'feel' that analogue triggers have and soon gave up.

Despite this I gave the game a quick go and it looks and plays well. The extra track is welcome (more so than the new cars for me - I quite like the simplicity of having just one car to master) and it it all looks really good considering the small dev team. Well done to you both.

Hi Bertrude,
Thank you for your feedback.

Yes actually, its not your fault if you cannot assign analogue triggers, i did not implement them yet.

But it will be fixed in the next version for sure.
So you could have the choice to decide if you want Analogue or Digital for people who don't have such a controller.

So you just have to wait a bit ^^

We are always listening to users voice in order to make the game better and better.

So don't hesitate if you have any other improvement you would like to see on next version.

I also agree with you that we should implement more racetracks.
Actually they are so hard and long to make, but we are trying our best.

Awesome game! I made something similar before in Unity!

It would be awesome if you had like a joyride mode in a city, maybe just to cruise like in TDU2. That would be AWESOME, because I hate having Windows 7 on bootcamp just for Test Drive Unlimited 2. :p

I would also love to make a free open space city like TDU2 but it would take forever to create a 3D contents like this.

I already tried to make a kind of small city and it was so much pain in the ...

Racetracks also are hard to make but its nothing to compare with a city or open environment.

Check out 2 songs i made for the game menus :

They are still very WIP but working on them to give them a more professional touch.

If you add a very realistic city similar to City Car Driving then I'll buy it for even $45. :)
