Ok so with my iMac being shipped on Monday morning, I expected Apple to take the payment from my account (I paid direct debit) yet when i checked they hadn't taken the payment. The order has shipped because Apple sent me the shipping notification email and the txt to my phone. Plus when I go onto my account It says shipped. However I haven't been given a tracking number by UPS or FedEx

Any one else have this??

Free iMac? Nothing to see here... ;)

I wouldn't of thought they would of made a mistake like that. Not like its a small amount of money. Also how long does it take to get a tracking number from UPS or FedEx?? I haven't had one yet. But need to know cuss of being in when its delivered.

Amazon has done it to me a few times, but never on anything big. Also, doesn't it say when you get the e-mail from Apple? Normally it is 5-7 days.

Oh, sorry I read the date January 2nd, 2013 as opposed to February 1st, 2013.
Then I would wait till it gets there or that date.

What do you think about Apple not taking the money? is this normal will they take it out over the next few days. I also just this minute got an email from Apple saying:

"your order has left Apple and you will have received a Dispatch Notification email advising you of the expected delivery date.

Please note your items are shipping from different locations and will be merged, for your convenience, so that you will receive one single delivery.

As a result, please allow up to 4 business days for your Order Status to be updated online."

From this I gather, that on the 31st in will be in ABU Dhabi. If you are in London, then it is estimated as the 1st, specifically "01-Feb-2013 15:00:00 GMT"

They will charge you within the next day or two no doubt. Nothing to get excited about.

You ought to call Apple and complain.

Maybe you'll get a free SuperDrive out of it.

/snark

My iMac was delivered on a Thursday, my CC account wasn't hit with the charge until the following Monday or Tuesday.

Just so you can sleep at night, know this, Apple has queried your Debit number at least twice during your order period to ensure that their money will be there when they want it. You could call your bank and confirm that there is a hold on your account, a hold that is the same amount as the cost of your iMac order.
