iPod touch iOS 7 on iPod touch 4G?

Do you think the fourth generation iPad will get supported until iOs 8?
Damn, ahh well. My iPod Touch and G5 still do what I need it to do.
Apple just stopped selling the 4th Gen (literally, today) in favour of a no-rear-camera 16GB 5th Gen. This was probably a move by Apple to not support the 4th Gen on iOS 7 as they only tend to support models being currently sold (except 3rd Gen iPad). They could easily get rid of it just so that it didn't get iOS 7 so that it isn't further slowed down. Doing this just before the iOS 7 announcement also suggests no 4th Gen support.
Basically, since today I highly doubt so.
Maybe, but if it s, supported by iOS 7 don't expect all the new features. Also expect it to stop getting updates within a few months of iOS 7 coming out.
the ipod touch 4g cycle is over, never an ipod touch had more than 3 iOS versions. The 4G touch is barely usable with iOS6
Let's look at the iPad 1 shall we. Some were bought with iOS 4.2/4.3. But they only got up to iOS 5.1.1. Apple's discontinuation of the iPod Touch 4 makes it seem as if Apple isn't going to be supporting it with iOS 7.
Yeah. the 256mb of ram is far too low. I'd recommend getting the 16gb or refurb 5th gen.
My sister has my old 4th gen and after getting replaced by apple its still really slow. It would've been a pain to have ios 7 on that device. iPhone 4 is supported because of its 512mb ram. All of the devices supported i think have a minimum of 512mb ram
From what I've heard iOS 7 runs poorly on the iPhone 4 and is missing many of the animations and visuals. It would would be unusable with half the RAM on the iPod Touch.
True, must have been something to do with the memory. The iPod has half the memory if I remember correctly.
I'm skipping the 5thGen iPod Touch as it's basically the same, storage-wise and I'm not forking out for a device that's only got slightly more RAM and a better screen, but hasn't increased the storage space for the most expensive version!
Thanks, but no thanks, Apple! I'll wait until the 6th Gen one comes out (Then again, it'll probably be like a Call of Duty game in that it's just a minor improvement over the last version!)
