Its way to difficult to tell whats good and bad without having more information. If you have really low signal strength you will have more battery usage. If you are trying to do things on the phone with that low signal it will be even worse.

I've seen my phone at 10+ hours of usage on business trips because I'll sit in airports watching netflix for hours (this actually doesnt use much power) but on standard day I only get 5-6 hours because I'm on facebook and tapatalk all day plus messaging and email etc. So my usage can vary by 100% just from a change in usage....
