Considering buying an i7 Macbook for producing in Ableton 9

So I'm thinking about buying a Macbook Air for producing in Ableton Live 9 and I was wondering how the latency is out of the box for a i7 Mac Air.

I DO have an USB audio interface which works with Mac, but I'd like to have the option to produce a little without having to take the USB interface with me everywhere.

So is the Core Audio latency a little good? I don't mind anything till 25ms (as I'm not a pianist or drummer or anything).

I use Ableton Live with an 11" Macbook Air i7, the latency is totally acceptable. Seriously, it's a fast little machine. You'll be fine.
