White House covering reasons for killing US citizens and breeding terrorism in Yemen

Obama has upped the drone strike killings in Yemen.

The end result is nothing more than proving Obama is getting good at killing Yemeni civilians, which in turn is growing hostility in the region where previously there was limited Al Qaeda activity.

Not only can this lead to a new front in GWOT, but create more suicide bombers and jihadists that want to kill Americans.

And then there is the complete violation of the constitution and killing of Americans in Yemen without due process.

There isn't one good damn reason for the USA to be bombing people in Yemen and acting as de facto muscle and enforcers for the regime.

The Obama administration is still attempting to cover up the reasons for placing Americans on kill lists, even though they were not charged with any crime, and executing them with drones in Yemen. Denying them of their constitutional right to due process.

You mean the constitutional law professor who doesn't believe in due process for American citizens...just put them on kill lists and execute them with drones and then cover up the reasons why...

The same constitutional law professor who turns around and brings a foreign born terrorists back to United States to be tried under civil law...

Something seriously is not passing the sniff test.

Obama has (more often than not) provided a seamless transition of perfect continuity between the Bush Administration and his Administration with regard to drones, extraordinary rendition, torture, domestic spying, warrantless wiretapping, along with many other sins of the Oval Office.

It is another unfortunate manifestation and symptom of the Industrial War Machine /slash/ Corporate take-over of what was once, a very long time ago, a government of, for, and by the people.

The U.S. has become a Corporatocracy of marketing tyranny, capitalism, state sponsored terrorism, all for the benefit of the investor's bottom line.

Obama is engaging in a very significant military campaign in Yemen, and most of the country has no idea.

Mind you, this campaign is doing nothing but propping up a regime that jails journalists for speaking out against the government. Not exactly a big on civil rights nation, and civilian deaths are growing daily in these drone hits.

Were is the outcry from the left? Where is Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Chucky Schumer on Obama's killing of civilians in Yemen?

And the drone strikes continue: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics...rikes-20140617

As the deteriorating security situation in Iraq once again dominates headlines in the U.S., America's dirty wars in the Middle East and South Asia continue with no sign of abating. Last week, the United States carried out one drone strike in Yemen and two in Pakistan, killing an estimated total of between 15 and 22 people, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, an organization that tracks drone strikes closely. All of the dead were reported to be militants; human rights advocates note, however, that such claims are often discovered to be inaccurate or misleading following further investigation.

This has been the greatest failure of the Obama administration. They went into office and became the very people they criticized throughout 2008.

It was my mistake to think that someone who had studied Constitutional law actually cared about upholding it. Instead, we installed the perfect person to subvert it and exploit the powerful Executive furthered by the Bush administration.

It was a failure of our imagination.

Yemen based scholar says Obama is breeding terrorism and growing Al Qaeda in Yemen due to ignorant drone killings.

Obama hates the Bush policies until he gets a chance to use them and then doubles down with indefinite detention and executing Americans.

Your exactly right. The GOP is not Obama's problem in getting things done. It is the constitution and he is trying his best to get around that.

This is so sad. That boy didn't deserve to lose his life if he was never convicted in a trial by jury for a crime he committed.

Obama is showing the documents that justified the execution of American citizens without due process.

And it's good The Verge picked this up. It's a big tech site, and people need to know. Furthermore, reading the comments, it's good to see there are real concerns about the issue of constitutionality.
