Main day to day machine is 15" MBP with 27" Apple monitor, blue tooth keyboard and magic mouse. Primary on the road working machine (photographer) is 13" 2012 MBA. Still use my 11" 2011 MBA as well.

Took me a while to figure out the 1,1 2,1 3,1 thingy.
For people who are also having trouble, the bottom is the newest and the top is the oldest, going in order. I will be running a 2012 MBA in a few days...trading my 13" Pro for it (Plus a small bit of cash)

Bought an 11" MBA i7 a few months ago that spent too much time in my bag for being such a beautiful and wonderful device, until I bought a nice big monitor for it, along with keyboard, mouse and Henge Dock, and now it sits beside my iMac 24" (which is getting a bit long in the tooth<sigh>) and gets as much or more use than its older desktop brethren. I love my MBA - I can pluck it from its dock, throw it in my bag and I never even notice I'm carrying it around, it's the best laptop I've ever owned, and it's the best companion and complement to my lovely iPad mini.

I'm some what surprised no one here is running the original Macbook Air.

I was determined to hang onto my 3,1 for years, but my cat had other plans.

Have a 13" 5,2 from work. Going to leave that job in December, and will probably buy myself a 13" 2013 model when they're out.

11" entry level 2012 macbook air hooked up to classroom projector, mirroring ipad screen via airserver. It is also my default laptop at work (replacing my work-issued tablet laptop).
At home, 27" imac, unless my dad is using it, then I fall back to my macbook. |

My primary machine is a 13" late 2011 MBA i5/4GB/256GB. Too lazy to do a search and figure out those numbers in the poll. I use the MBA with my old 23" Apple Cinema Display, extended keyboard and wired mouse about 90% of the time. It replaced my 2008 15" MBP and I have been really happy with it.

I have a Mid 2011 (4,1) (actually it was released in March 2012) base model 11 inch MacBook Air. It actually works very well for me as my main machine.

Dropbox.

For any Mac, the first pane of System Report includes a Model Identifier. Apple drives me nuts because they assign the model identifiers and then, throughout Support, refer to MacBook Air Mid 2011, which is MacBookAir4,x. I believe you will find yours is MacBookAir5,2. |

3,2 and its been a great secondary computer for school. I will be using it until it dies as I only use it for school and I am in my final semester. I have a customized desktop that I use for everything else, and an iPad for entertainment uses. I doubt my air will get much use after I graduate.

I'm running an "old" 2009 MBA 2,1.
This thing runs great...I know it is "old" but it doesn't feel old. The SSD makes this thing fly against anything with a HD. I'm starting to want more than 2GB of RAM. I can handle the 128GB SSD with no issue (in fact, I have a Bootcamp partition of about 50GB!) since I am comfortable with using my network backups. I'm going to be looking seriously at upgrading when the new Haswell processors come out. I can wait, this thing is the best laptop I have ever had (and I've had a 5300, a 1400cs, a 2400c, a Lombard, a Pismo, and a Hackintosh MSI Wind...I've also been using Dell crap and decent Lenovo's at work). BTW, the recent priced drop on Air's was sweet! |
