Well I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue but here goes...I have a macbook pro A1226 model running lion. I did have some video issues but its fix now however the backlight on the lcd is out so I have it hooked to a external monitor while I did repairs to the HD and repaired permissions. I did all that because for some reason I cannot get pass the login screen. When I enter my password the screen flickers and takes me back to the login. If you enter the wrong password it will tell you its wrong as normal but if you enter the right one..flicker and returned to login.
I have repaired the HD and repaired all permissions, I've done a nvram and smc reset but still nothing..I can't see to find ANY information online about this specific issue. Can anyone help?
