Detecting headphone remote button press?

Headphones with a 3-button remote (e.g., the headphones included with the iPhone) are also compatible with Macs and can control iTunes playback.

Is there a way to listen for headphone remote key presses?

Most likely it will be registered the same as the pause/play button on the keyboard. Try looking there.

I have no idea how much I can or can't say without violating the NDA, so I'll just say joining the MFi program could help you.
