I was experimenting around with Profile Manager to push settings to my expanding fleet (n=15) macs. I was experimenting with just myself as a user or just my machine as a machine. I was setting up profiles on the server and then testing the push function to update profiles on my machine. Somewhere along the line I managed to restrict access to profiles under system preferences. Now I can't actually add a new profile from the server to my machine because it's restricted. The profile that restricted it is long since deleted from the server.
Any thoughts on how to dig myself out of this one? I did a quick try of deleting my system preferences cache, to no avail (not surprising).
In the meantime I'm trying the creation of a new user account (in case I dropped the restriction for a user profile) on my machine, if that works I can just copy over all my files from the previous user.
Thanks for any thoughts in advance.
