New 21.5" iMac as external
Will the new 21.5" iMac coming out this month work as an external monitor for my Xbox360? I've heard about these devices before
http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/intensity/ I don't need it for the capture card, I just want to use my Xbox360 on my iMac plain and simple. I'm looking for a cheap option, but I'd like options that wont have any lag, lengthen the response time of the display, and keep 1920x1080 resolution. |

I don't think that's feasible right now. With the 2009 and 2010 27" models you could do it with the Kanex XD HDMI to Mini-Displayport adapter.
2011 (and presumably 2012) models can only work as a display for Thunderbolt devices (ie other Macs with Thunderbolt ports). It's possible that some company could create such an adapter for the Thunderbolt iMacs but as far as I know there isn't one available yet. |

Most likely the new iMacs will still be restricted to Thunderbolt connections for video in. an iMac is an awfully expensive for just an external monitor.
