[All iPads] What if Ipad 5 use Ipad mini thin glass

Read a rumor in my local website about the possibility of Ipad 5 early 2013 which i think it is ridiculous. Reason given to avoid competition from Microsoft Surface win8 pro which also nonsense to me because there is no way Surface can scratch Ipad market share anytime soon.

Ipad 5 will have the mini's thiness and use same glass as mini to shed off some weight. I dont know what that would do to the retina. Anyone here think this is possible? I know some are not very happy with mini glass being too thin.

Have no issue with the glass on my mini and never thought of it as an issue.
