Current music SUCKS. All the dynamics are blown out and the volume is CRANKED.

Compounding matters is the digital way in which one can create something in "perfect" time, not to mention the things that are "created" (more like manufactured) in the studio usually suck.

Human beings playing instruments together are NOT in perfect time. Furthermore, when studio recordings were analog, mistakes in performances were made. And nine times out of ten those "mistakes" made the songs better and/or affected the creative process to take the song(s) to places it might not have gone.

But, as usual, the record companies get a hold of something that seems to be popular and they absolutely run it into the ground.

Until Prince is dead, then there is still great music to be written.

Everyone should watch this short 4 part series. It pretty much blew my mind when I first watched it. Basically talks about how some contemporary music/movies is a complete rip off from older stuff. Definitely worth your time.
