How to delete all photos on iPad?

I'm away from computer. I need to delete these photos

Import all photos using iPhoto, then select delete photos when the pop up appears after it's finished.
Or manually, selecting one by one... Takes ages

Within the Photo app, select the album you want to delete the photos in. Then touch the arrow icon in the upper right of the screen. Then select each photo you want to delete, should show a blue circle with a white check mark on the photo when selected. When all are selected, hit delete.

I just deleted over 5 gbs of photos like this earlier today. Only took a couple of minutes.
