For some reason, recently, one of the keys on my MacBook Air keyboard (Specifically, the 'h' key), is quite loose. It makes a terrible sound when I type on it and I subconsciously feel that it will fall off.

I've looked online and it seems like I will have to pay Apple ~$250-300 to repair it, but my MacBook Air is under warranty (Bought it in the mid of April).

Do you guys think they will repair it for me?

Thanks in advance.

If they can't prove that you damaged the key then yes, they will repair it.

If you damaged it, you will have to pay for the repair or live with it.

No way a replacement key will cost that much. That would be the cost of a new top case with keyboard, but you should be able to get a replacement key cap for free or for around $10-15 at most.

Assuming its not the pegs that are broken, Mal is correct.

Find a local Apple shop. There is a good chance they will have broken top cases lying around with key caps they could give you.

I do it all the time for people.
