One thing is for sure after reading this thread. Even though 99% of my work is contract-free, I will scan the odd one that does involve a contract to see if they put something ludicrous like that in there.
Luckily, in my business, people don't generally think this way.
A lack of planning on your part should not constitute an emergency on mine.
