New iMac + 2009 MBP as second display?

Hi there

Is there a way for me to connect a new iMac to my 2009 MBP and use the MBP as the secondary display? Low lag is a factor for me as it's for audio applications, so I'm looking for a wired solution.

Screen Recycler through ethernet seems like the best solution I can find, is there anything that would use the mini display port?

No. You can do it the other way around, but either way you would be better off buying a second LCD.
