How to Convert .AVI movies for iTunes ?

I am looking to Convert .AVI movies for iTunes ?
So i can view the movies through AirPlay on my Apple TV....

Does anyone know the best Mac app to convert the movies
for iTunes ?

.mp4 and .m4v, but you could just use one of the presets in HB, the Apple TV preset for example.

Hypothetically, they would be the same. Both are a graphic wrapper for ffmpeg that actually does the encoding.
