FCPX: Why is my image being mysteriously cropped
I have a 1920x1080 image above a video on my timeline. When I preview my project, I'm seeing a portion of the video behind the image. There is no cropping applied to the image in FCP's Crop palette, and there is no transparent border when I open the image in Photoshop.
Any clue?

try this: take an empty pop can, place it on the floor, smash it flat, now try to pull it back to how it was. see how it looks like crap? that's called compression |

Check your translate settings and make sure the default center-point position and scaling haven't been altered.
Also, check your file's metadata inside of FCPX to verify that there is no alpha whatsoever - explicitly set alpha to "ignore" if necessary. |
