Macbook Air webcam freezes on Skype?

I was videochatting on Skype with someone earlier today and every few minutes, my camera would freeze and get weird/glitchy. I kept having to shut my cam off and turn it back on... and it would continue to do this weird thing.
Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

Yep, I've been having this too. It began happening after the recent Mountain Lion update, which had updates to the camera if I remember correctly. I've been having glitchy camera problems since. No idea what to do about it.

pardon me but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one having this problem..I thought there's something wrong with my webcam :(
been having this problem since the last ML update..

I also have the same exact issue since the last ML update.

I hope Apple to address this in the next update.



Update:

This issue has been fixed in version 6.4.0.833 of Skype that was released today.
Clearly Apple had nothing to do with this bug.
