iTunes Recognizing new iPhone 5

I lost my iPhone4 nad bought aiPhone5 to replace it.

For some reason now when I plug the iPhone5 into iTunes it shows the sync steps occurring, but on the left side "My iPhone" doesn't appear. Why?

I'm wanting to update my Busycal calendar, but no go.
