Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

So my new iMac arrives today and I have a 6yo MBP. I'm thinking about using migration assistant but worried I will migrate old Mac problems over with it. Perhaps it's better to start clean and just manually move over stiff I really need and re-install programs from scratch? I don't use that many programs anyway.

Thoughts?

You're only migrating files, not problems. It's fine to use Migration Assistant.
