Anyone else have this problem? I have an iPhone 5 6.0.2 and connected to a new wifi access point. It showed that it was connected in settings but the 4G symbol was still showing in the status bar. I turned on airplane mode to see if the wifi was working and all and it is. Anybody know why the wifi signal doesn't show in the status bar? Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

This could be dependent upon the type of access point you are connected to. From experience, when I connect my iPhone to an Ad-Hoc network there are no WiFi bars, but it is using the wifi connection.

Ok thanks, that might be the case. I notice the have two access points in one house so maybe one is ad hoc
