Extending Airport Express network with Time Capsule (internet connected to AE)
Hi there!
I just bought an Airport Express base station to extend my home network (time capsule, downstairs next to internet connection), but I found out that it would be a more viable setup if I placed the Airport Express in the Time Capsule's place (next to the stereo, AirTunes) and put the Time Capsule upstairs in the study. Would it then be possible to connect my internet connection (fiber optic, 100Mbps) to the AirPort Express and then extend that network with my Time Capsule or does it only work the other way around? And will it affect network performance? Thanks in advance! (Time Capsule 500GB, rev. 2, AirPort Express newest version, 3 macbooks, 1 mac mini, 2 windows computers, 2 ipod touches and an ipad all connected to this network.)
