Apple Preps Yerba Buena for September 1st Media Event

Apple has started prepping the Yerba Buena center for their upcoming media event next week. (via Wired / 9to5) The building-sized banner reflects the same guitar artwork that was printed on the media invitation sent out earlier this week.

The reason for the image has been the subject of much speculation on our forums. Apple has been rumored to be releasing new iPods, TV rental service, new Apple TV, iLife and more at the event. The event kicks off at 10am Pacific on September 1st.

I like the Apple sound hole for the guitar. Or it that called the guitar mouth and not the sound hole?
Either way, can't wait to see if the 3cmx3cm screen will be used in an iPod. Is the nano really losing the click wheel and going REALLY small? Or is the shuffle gaining a screen? Oh, I want an iPod touch that has faceTime, iTunes X written in cocoa with 64bit. Also give the iPod touch a retina display. AND make FaceTime work with iChat. Why can I use my computer to video chat with an iPhone 4?
 
This is going to be a good event. I am very excited, it helps me ease back into school because i have something to take mind off the fact i have to go back :D

I really want one of those guitars.

I was at the Yerba Buena center last week but didn't realize it was where apple held most of their events!
 
This does look pretty awesome, although too bad it's that awesome guitar pic again and not something revealing.

Yeah, although if it really exists, I wonder what that shape and the hole for the leaf does to the sound. It'd be cool to hear it, but also compare the sound waves to a guitar that is exactly the same, but with a circular hole (Science, heck yeah!).
 
Give me an iPod with that small touchscreen and nike+ integration and I'm set.

Also really hoping for iTunes 64-bit and iLife '11.
 
I cannot wait because no matter what Apple pulls out of the turtleneck sleeves, it's ALWAYS good stuff. We'll see exactly what Apple does shortly.

Can't wait myself.

its the same thing they had done for years. the invite card is the same as the banner thats hung.

I hope you're right, that Apple still has its eye on Nike+. Unfortunately, Nike+ doesn't work on iPhones or iPod touches running iOS4, and neither Apple nor Nike have officially acknowledged the problem.

Oh, I realize that, I just wish it were something that might reveal more, even though that would never happen, not to say that guitar pic isn't great, because it is

Oh and I care. After getting a cracked screen and non-functioning headphone jack on my G2 touch, I need a new one. Bad.
