Bonjour missing in Systems Prefs

Hello all,

This question must have been answered by can't find it on searches.

I have a Macbook 13 inch white with 10.6.4 on it.

I can't find the Bonjour control panel-system preference icon and
when pick the Bonjour line the bookmarks bar, get no registered sites.

Firewall is open to specific apps, using Apple AEBS as router.
Bonjour is missing from my son's MBP with same os.

Help please

There is no Bonjour pref pane in System Preferences. For the Bonjour sites not showing up in Safari, are you sure there are some Bonjour sites on your current local network? A good Bonjour test tool is iStumbler. Just make sure your on it's Bonjour tab.

Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder and switch it from "My Processes" to "All Process". Then sort the process by name and look for one called "mDNSResponder". Also a quick test is to open iTunes on both Macs and share one of the iTunes libraries and see if it is seen on the other Mac.

Odd, you say your wireless router is an Airport Extreme? Try opening up Airport Utility and seeing if it finds the Airport. If both Macs fail to see it then you might have a network wide problem. If only one sees it then that computer may be having problems. Also try restarting the Airport Extreme.

I was looking at adding a printer then went down the
tangent on no Bonjour icon.

I rebooted after the test of not having itunes and on the restart,
printers showed up as well as itunes share on each side.
