Went out and brought a Mid 2010 Mac Mini today as my Macbook spent most its life plugged into my TV so i thought i'd give one a try.

1st impressions are great, it looks beautiful, its sooooo quiet, everything is finally migrated across so i'm happy.

Spec is

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2gb Ram
320gb HDD

Gonna upgrade it to 4gb when i get a chance.

Yeah thats pretty much what i'm going to be using it for, i felt bad for my old Macbook it didnt like streaming movies its fans use to howl LOL

Congrats on your mini purchase. I have a 2007 mini I use to watch Hulu and podcasts on my 40" Samsung. I couldn't be happier 🙂

Welcome!

Your migration seems like it went smooth. Wish I could say the same. But I did it all manually (not sure of another way coming from an XP PC).

The howl of my AOpen mini PC on it's third fan got me into the Mac mini. The AOpen got quiet the last 30 seconds of my last full day using it. Wonder if it was trying to appease me to stay alive. Probably just another fan about to go. Too late. I'm happier now.
