My 8 gb is full, i have to delete a lot of games, but i want to keep my savegames. will they be deleted as well when i delete the game or will they be back up when i install the game again?

They will be deleted.

As far as I know game saves are tied to the actual App so if you delete the App the game save is deleted with it.

If you are getting a new device then you should be able to make a backup of your iPod Touch and then install the backup on the new device and it should keep your saved game files.

The only other way I think would be to jailbreak then find and store the saved game data manually.

JB and extracting game data is EXTREMELY hard.

why didnt apple iplement the option for developers to save the savegame data on the gamecenter, this would be magnificent :-)
So your savegames would be connected to the purchases of you account and you would never have to worry about deleting a game....
