Password Protecting Files

I want to know if there is a way to password protect a file, so that, even if you are the user to whom it is protected. and you are logged in, you can will be asked for a password to open the file each time. is that possible.?
 
Without venturing into debatable shareware, the best thing to do is to create an encrypted disk image.

Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities. Then under the 'Images' menu select 'New Image' and go from there. Now as long as nobody knows your password your porn is perfectly safe from peering eyes! 😉 😛
 
No, there is no way through the OS, maybe a third party app, if you don't care at all, do a disk image file with disk utility and password protect it, keep your files there, and when you need the information, mount the disk, type the pass and voilá...
