Apple TV in the UK, what can we expect?

So apple has decided to charge 99 for apple tv in the UK. Pretty bad that we are getting screwed on the price but they are also other things lacking.

No tv rentals. I assume this is all because of contracts and legal problems.

We also don't have netflix here in the UK either so that streaming feature is not availible to us.

They've also said nothing about iplayer or 4od streaming.

What do you think we can expect in the future?
Xbox 360 had netflix in the US but MS partnered with sky to produce a similar service here. Do you think apple would partner with sky or lovefilm?
