Iomega Home Media External Hard Drive

I am thinking of getting a Iomega Home Media external hard drive and using it as a NAS and had a couple of questions if anyone has any experience with them.

1.) Do these work well with Time Machine over the network?
2.) Can they be used simultaneously for Time Machine with a Mac and as a NAS for a Windows machine?

Thanks
