You can also change playlists by pressing down on down volume and play until it starts listing off playlists. When it lists the one you want, you press the play button and it will go to that playlist (according to the downloadable ipod manual though this only works with headphones that have a microphone as well as the remote, don't ask me why. I don't have any that only have the remote so I had to learn that by reading it but I learned the playlist thing by accident).

Thanks, although this was already well publicised on all the reviews of the new Nanos, its a shame Apple are so cheap to not throw in a pair of remote headphones.

How is it a shame, and how does it make them cheap? The functionality of the headphones is not necessary like it was with the Shuffle.

This society is so demanding and full of entitlement that it makes me ill.

Agreed. However at $29 a pair it would have been nice to see it as a BTO option online only where you can sub out the included headphones for the remote ones. They could easily package them with those instead for shipping in quantity to fill those orders and then upcharge $10 to get the better pair.

Yes, but they did get rid of the physical buttons that even for the target market of runners and excercisers is losing *important* functionality. I really think they should have to at least provide actual buttons cause the target market is definitely going to have times they can't really look at the ipod.

Unfortunately the Apple headphones with remote die fairly quickly when you sweat on them which really defeats the purpose. I suspect that was the bigger reason they didn't include them, because they have been getting a lot of returns. Hopefully Apple is working on sweatproof controls for their next gen headphones with remote.

Now this is an excellent idea! I don't agree with the "entitlement" attitude, but the option to order them sounds superb.

For those that don't like the Apple headphones with controls because they don't hold up well under sweat, Zagg, makers of InvisibleShield make their SmartBuds with inline controls and the cords and I assume controls as well are coated in their Zagg skin product to make them sweatproof.
