MR IRC Chat Room

anyone here a fan of irc chat? if u are, u should come by on the Mac Rumors IRC Chat room on irc.newnet.net, and the room name is #macrumors, this chat room was basically only popular around mwny, but a few ppl have been going in and out since then, but now its totally dead, i've seen tech sites (even 10% the size of MR) that have a chat room that the members of the site hang out when they have a break from posting on the forum, well come on in the chat room if you want

macrumors chat was popular only during MWNY by design.

I don't have any links to the chat right now... and only when there are events, do I put them up.

Mostly, I didn't think it would be popular, and didn't want to have to try to police it.

I don't think there is any need for the IRC if you got the forums... I only went to the IRC room when MWNY was happening, cause Arn had closed down the the forums.

Oh God! isn't MacRumors addictive enough without a chatroom? I'm against it, for my own sake!

I like the IRC chat. I was there during MWNY and whenever the server was down I would head over there.

edit- arn, if you started to publicize it more I'm sure some of the senior members would be happy to police it when convinient.

Most members with AIM can talk to me on EnsigPrs, I know a few people from MR up there

I like IRC chat too much, but I haven't been to the MacRumors room. I used to be an op in another room and then I had my own room and kinda maxed out on it all.

Maybe I'll try again...just a little.

I use AthenaIRC and it's good for Mac OS 9 and X.
