Curious to see how many settled because they wanted the iPhone 4 so bad.

How many bought the 16GB because they ran out of 32GBs and vice versa?

I did. Settled for 16 when I wanted a 32.

It's always nice to have more memory but seeing it's still out of stock at most places, i'm happy with my purchase

I certainly don't need a 32GB but I would have spent the extra money if I walked into the store when I did and they were out of 16GBs.

I got my iPhone 4 in black because it was not available in white. I returned it to the Apple Store after 2 weeks because of dropped calls where signal strength was weak. My iP3GS does much better in the same settings and it is silky white.

I wanted a 16GB but ATT store only had the 32GB! So what the hay ! an extra 100 bucks for a 32! why not ! What was even better that it was the first day ATT started to sell the phones and i just walked in, 15 mins later walked out. I felt sorry for everyone who waited over night or in a line

Up here it was, sorry it's still a PITA to get the i4. I wanted 32GB and nothing less.

It was over 3 weeks since it launched when I got my 32GB, I was lucky too since I just dropped by and walked inside Rogers plus before heading to the gym.

I refused to wake up 4-5 in the morning and line up for hours every day/weekend for this. Like I said people are still trying to get theirs, I'm not sure if they are just scalpers though.

I wanted the 16, had to settle for the 32 because it was the one Radio Shack was receiving more. Thank God for it!

Got mine on launch day at Radio Shack. I was 2nd in line - and they had a VERY limited supply. The next person in line wanted to 32gig and the person after that was a young kid who was getting a VERY nice reward for getting all A's - a new iPhone 16gig.

When I went into the store - my intention was to get a 16gig. There were 2 32s left and one 16 gig. I ended up getting the 32gig because I didn't want the kid to go away empty handed. And I figured the extra space would be good to have for videos (both loading and shooting with the camera).

I don't come close to using 16 gig because of such apps as Hulu, Netflix, etc.

But for the $100+ tax difference to make someone else happy - I figured - what the heck

I wanted a 16 gb one but everywhere was out of iphones. Finally managed to run to a store ~40 miles away only to find they have 2 32 gb iphones left. So of course I made the purchase. :D

Got what I wanted, black/32GB. Days leading up to launch, I still had a strong preference that I wanted black, but only 50/50 between 16 vs 32. I really was tight with the budget. It wasn't until Tuesday of that same week that I was leaning toward 32. When I picked it up at Best Buy, the person who helped me mistakenly had a 16GB reserved for me by looking at the back of the box. For a sec, I was thinking to just go for it. Then I thought to go with with my first instinct. Grateful I went 32 because I just filled up 17GB already.

With my first iPhone 4, I was forced to take the 16GB, however, I ended up having issues with it , and did a return. After waited a month, I was able to get the 32GB iPhone 4 that I have now.

I didn't settle and I would not have if they were out of the 32GB. Wait a few weeks to get the phone I wnat that I will have 2 years, or save maybe a few weeks and get my phone early and have to compromise for the lesser space? Yeah, I would have waited to get the 32GB. Personally, that was one of my very few (if only) disappointments with the iPhone 4, that it didn't have a 64GB version.

And I'm kinda glad cause I'm either already very close to the 16 GB limit or over it at this point.

I bought the 16gb because that is what they had in stock. I still have 10.4gb free, so I'm not really worried.
