Sorry if this has been beaten to death, but I'm just figuring this out. The 1st gen Apple TV will NOT be able to rent TV shows? Even though it CAN rent movies? Is this for certain? Will there be a software update? Because this seems ridiculous.
What would be the point of eliminating a bunch of potential customers from this service? Surely it can't be to force us to be a $99 box that has less functionality than my current AppleTV?! What if I'm happy with my first AppleTV and don't want to upgrade?
